Randoms

Here are some random photos I came across.
Nan, Hilda Loder (nee Bursey) outside their home on Pitt Street in Saint John, NB.
Bill (William) Loder, outside their home on Pitt Street, Saint John, NB.
Me, Jennifer Melvin (nee MacAulay) outside my grandparents home on Pitt Street. Maybe this is why I still love Daylillies.
My Grandparents, Bill Loder and Hilda Loder (nee Bursey) in Newfoundland.
I believe this is a photo of Old Perlican.
My Grandfather Bill and his daughter, Norma Loder, in Hillview, Newfoundland.
Hilda and Bill in Newfoundland. I think this was taken outside her sister, Vera's house, 1958.
My Grandparents Bill and Hilda Loder on the ferry to Newfoundland.

Dictionary

This is my grandmother's (Hilda Bursey's) old dictionary. She brought it with her from Old Perlican when she moved to Saint John. It was important to her because she planned on becoming a school teacher, but for whatever reason, that never worked out. She dated this January 1929, so she would have been 18 years old. It was probably her last year living in Old Perlican. The first page is torn, but you can still see that it was given to her by her uncle Jim.

Hilda (Bursey) and Bill Loder Grave

Here is a photo of the gravestone for Hilda (Bursey) and Bill Loder at Fern Hill Cemetery in Saint John, New Brunswick. The grave is very close to the entrance on Westmorland Road. The little apple tree by the headstone has been removed since this photo was taken of Hilda.

Hilda May (b July 28,1911-d) and husband Bill (William) Loder (b1903-d)
